As characters adventure through Eternity and the myriad of Otherworlds that exist, they accumulate wealth and experience. But unlike other traditional role-playing games, The Eternity Engine does not use ‘experience points’ as part of our efforts to remove redundancies that cause disruptions to the flow and emersion of the game. The Eternity Engine instead simply chooses to have advancement be determined by player action and choice represented by spending their hard-earned loot.
Once a player has accumulated enough wealth, they may seek out a trainer to not only advance their skills, but also their Rank. Refer to the Advancement Table above.
A group may not advance in Tier’s until everyone in the group is of the same Rank in the same Tier.
